Moores Hill received 2 awards at the Launceston Chamber of Commerce 2017 Business Excellence Awards: the award for Best Environmental Practice and Business of the Year.
We were delighted to be recognised for our off grid winery in the environment category. The facility enables us to make our wines on site using 100% solar energy.
Winning business of the year was a huge surprise. It was wonderful to be part of a celebration of business excellence in Northern Tasmania.
The awards round off an exciting 12 months for Moores Hill- we formed a new partnership with Tim & Sheena High of Native Point Wines and built our on-site winery- Tasmania's first 100% off grid winery.
Moores Hill is a small team but we are supported by a wonderful network of staff, contractors, suppliers, customers, friends and family. Thank you everybody!
The awards were presented at a gala dinner in Launceston on Saturday night.
Thank you to the Chamber of the Commerce, the judges and the award sponsors, Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees NRM North and Tasplan.
We're very optimistic about the economic future of Northern Tasmania and we believe our region is poised to accelerate!
Moores Hill is owned by 2 couples- Fiona Weller & Julian Allport and Tim & Sheena High.
