Moores Hill owner and winemaker, Julian Allport has been elected to the board of Wine Tasmania.

Wine Tasmania is the peak body representing the wine industry in Tasmania.

Drawing on his wine industry experience and previous corporate experience, Julian hopes to bring the interests of small veinyard owners to the board table.

Nick Glaetzer of Glaetzer-Dixon and Frogmore Creek wine companies and winner of the 2011 Jimmy Watson trophy for his Mon Pere Shirz was also elected to the board.

Julian and Nick replace winemakers Andrew Hood and Steve Lubiana who retired from the board after lengthy service.
