Moores Hill 2011 was awarded the top gold medal in the 2011 Tasmanian Class at the International Riesling Challenge in Canberra.
The Riesling Challenge is a unique wine show for its focus on this highy sophisticated, yet often under-appreciated variety. Since we are mad-keen on Riesling at Moores Hill, we are always interested in the results.
This wine displays some classic hallmarks of Tassie Riesling: fresh florals on the nose and crisp ctirus, most notably grapefruit on the palate. This wine is young, young, young but this acidity has a softness and approachability that makes for easy drinking.
